Iris after the rain

Photographing flowers around the house one Summer afternoon after a rain storm. I find the Iris is an interesting flower with its flowing petals, detailed structure, and bright colors.

The images were captured with the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 135MM F/2L lens handheld. I find using the 135MM with its very shallow depth of field to be a perfect choice to isolate the features of the Iris and blur the background.

Processing was done on an iPad using Adobe Lightroom Mobile. Lightroom Mobile's improvement in both capability and usability throughout this year has been just awesome. It is now a credible companion to the desktop version.
