Philadelphia - Historic Sites
You cannot spend four days in Philadelphia without spending at least some time visiting the national historic sites and museums of the Revolutionary War, including Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross house. In addition to the historical locations, we spent a few hours at the excellent Museum of the American Revolution; this is a self-guided museum tour that takes you linearly through the history of the Revolutionary war, the people, and the times. We also viewed the short feature on Washington’s tent which was done very well.
Taking the ferry across the Delaware River to Camden, NJ, we also toured the Battleship New Jersey museum and memorial before making our way to the aquarium. The tour of the battleship is self guided and you have significant access to the most decorated battleship in the United States naval history and Admiral Halsey’s flag ship in World War II.
While touring the museums of colonial error structures and the battleship, lighting is not ideal for taking quality photos, however the Fuji X100F did a great job. I have set up the front dial for ISO adjustment and I find that this works really well when transitioning from indoors to outdoors to enable control over exposure without having the camera choose a very high ISO automatically as I typically shoot in aperture priority mode.
Thanks for stopping by today!
