US Youth Soccer Region I - CPSC U12 Game 1

Game 1 was a workout for the CPSC defense and keeper

The CPSC U12 Cobras traveled to Barboursville, West Virginia to compete in the US Youth Soccer Region I Championship July 1 - 5. Friday July 1 the first game of the three game group round was played at the YMCA complex on Ohio Road on the Ohio River.

The Cobras' first opponent were the the Bethesda Soccer Club U12 team, the #1 ranked U12 team nationally and the eventual US Youth Soccer Region I 2016 champions allowing only 2 goals total in the tournament.

The final score as 14-0 Bethesda with the easy win. To say the Cobras were outmatched would be an understatement. Hats' off to the Bethesda SC ... an amazing group of young athletes!

For the tournament, I was shooting the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens for most of the on field action shots. Off the field, I was shooting the Canon EF 24-70MM F/2.8L USM Mark II, which I rented from LensRentals.com for this trip. What an amazing lens ... this is one that I may have to add to my camera bag soon.

Thanks for stopping by today!
