Winter Northern Cardinals

More birds in snow.

This post contains photos of the male and female Northern Cardinal perched in our Butterfly Bush. All photos were taken during a daytime snow storm in our yard. The photos of the male cardinals are mostly shot through the branches of the bush. I was able to take close-up images of the females as they are less skittish than the males that visit.

All photos are shot handheld with the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 100-400 F/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens. Post processing was done in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC.
