Next door to the football stadium
The CPSC U12 Cobras are travelling to Barboursville, West Virginia to compete in the US Youth Soccer Region I championship July 1 - 5. Thursday June 30 the opening ceremony was held at the Marshall University Joan C Edward football stadium for approximately 5000 athletes U12 through U18 representing 15 states.
The ceremony consisted of skydivers delivering the American flag, a few words from the Region I director, local politicians, and the president of the university. The teams then paraded into the stadium and the competition was declared open.
For the opening ceremony, I was shooting the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 24-70MM F/2.8L II lens, which I rented from LensRental.com for this trip. What a great lens! I really enjoyed shooting this lens and the pictures it takes.
The images included here have been post-processed in Lightroom Mobile and uploaded via my iPad in my hotel room.
Thanks for stopping by today!
