During our trip to Philly, we visited The Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia (no photos allowed). Not for the squeamish, the museum is a fascinating tour through the history of medicine in Philadelphia with a number of unique specimens and exhibits. The kids enjoyed it, so it couldn’t be too bad. We then walked over to the Eastern State Penitentiary for a self-guided tour of the world’s first “penitentiary” style prisons. The prison is a large complex that is partly restored and visitors have access to much of the grounds.
While walking the hallways and touring the cells of the penitentiary, I used the ACROS film-simulation mode on the Fuji X100F. The black and white rendering seemed fitting for capturing the feeling of isolation and cold.
Thanks for stopping by today!
