The first weekend in November and the upstate New York foliage had peeked and was beginning to fade, so the last chance to get out and grab some photos. Unfortunately the afternoon was filled with rain showers and moments of breaking skies. Overall, it was an incredibly frustrating afternoon as I chased the rapidly shifting light. One moment a valley was vividly illuminated and by the time I pulled over to get a picture the light had passed and the scene was gloomy and dank. Oh well, that’s how it goes some times.

A beautiful sunny and cool Sunday afternoon in upstate New York. I had a few minutes so I grabbed the camera and headed over to Lake Saratoga to take a few photos of the foliage with the Fuji X100F.

Autumn Reflection
Barn among the trees
I have wanted to photograph this barn for quite some time. Someday I will return in the fog and rain for a black and white image hopefully...
On this Saturday, the traffic was light and the bright orange of the leaves made for a very interesting scene, so I pulled to the side of the road and took a few images. The sun was beginning to set (to the right above), thus the shadows were becoming quite long and I did not have a tripod, so I think the sharpness is a bit off.
Have a great day!

A photograph of Reservoir Road around the perimeter of the Tomhannock Reservoir on Halloween day. The Autumn foliage was full of vibrant oranges and yellows everywhere. The sun was just peaking out through the mostly cloudy sky in the image above.
Photographed with the Fuji X100s.
