In addition to the House Finch, the American Goldfinch has started reappearing in the past week. Shown here are several perched in the Butterfly Bush with a snow-covered background and light snow flurries.

More snow in upstate New York. This has been a yoyo Winter with snow followed by a warm-up that melts the snow, then more snow. Overall it has been a productive Winter for photographing the birds. This weekend we had a visit from a few House Finches among the Juncos, Chickadees, and Cardinals. There were also a few Starlings that I caught a glimpse of, but I did not have my camera with me.
