Above, a blue and white Iris photographed earlier this Summer in the rain. I like photographing Iris because of their complexity and structure; seemingly no two flowers are the same. This flower has the blue and white petals that make it stand out in the flower garden, but the color photograph left something to be desired and I have had it marked for black and white conversion

In April, we traveled to Bushwick Inlet Park on the East River bank in Brooklyn New York for a soccer game. Since I was there for a soccer game, I had the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 100-400MM F/4.0-5.6L IS USM lens with me. Having arrived nearly an hour before game time, there was plenty of time to explore the park and I found there were many opportunities to use the 100-400MM's reach to capture the city and architecture around the park.
