In late August, we took a 4-day family trip to Philadelphia to visit the historic sites and walk the city. Our first stop on our way was to historic Valley Forge national park. It was a warm and sunny afternoon, so we decided to walk the park. Most of the major monuments can be reached by car or a trolley tour, so walking the 6+ miles is not mandatory.

In late June, my son and I traveled to Burlington Vermont for his final U14 soccer tournament. On Friday and Saturday evenings, we visited downtown Burlington and walked Church Street and the surrounding areas; also visiting the Lake Champlain waterfront and Battery Park.

On our second day in New York City, given the year we are having, of course it snowed overnight! In the morning, we grabbed a cab and made our way up from Times Square to the American Museum of Natural History to spend most of the day. We arrived just as the doors opened on a Monday and we had about an hour before the place became really crowded.
